We just bought a smoker and have never smoked anything before. We bought "Smoking Food: A beginners guide" and I would recommend this book for anyone new to smoking foods. It is easy to read, I scanned the book in about 30 minutes and got the gist, and has easy to follow directions. We started out smoking a brisket and 2 chickens, they all turned out excellent. We just finished smoking a turkey today.

We just purchased a smoker and I thought this book would be helpful. Sadly this book was not what I expected at all! If you plan to cure smoked meat, this book might be useful. In our case, we just wanted recipes to smoke meats for moisture and favor so this book didn't fit the bill!

It's a nice book but not exactly what I thought it was going to be. I inherited a smoker without instructions and was hoping this would get me on the right rack. It helped but a bit general and didn't help as much as I thought. Wouldn't recommend to a friend unless they read mine first. Not a bad book just not what I was looking for.

This book was interesting - but not at all what I expected. The majority of the book explains in some detail about the history of smoking and brining meat back before there was refridgeration available. The point back then, of course, was to dry the meat as much as possible so it would keep for long periods. Today, however, what I am looking for is guidance on how to obtain a great smoky flavor without drying out the meat. There was no help or direction for this in the book.

I was looking for something on a more simplified level. This did not fit the bill for me. I assume it would have worked had I been living off the grid and needed to smoke everything! Guess I will look again. I am not going to be smoking any small game or rabbit or making my own sausage anytime soon. If thats your thing, by all means pick this book up!

Enjoyed this book. Not my first time smoking food, I've done a lot of fish and beef and turkey jerky. I was looking for more options and this book worked. I bought a second copy of Smoking Food for my son who also smokes food.

The time has come. Each of the girls get to go out with Kirito, with a Mon squad escort for protection. But during each date, someone with a D connection comes out to interfere, but is any of them the one who sent the letter to Kirito. Then the Mon squad gets a chance at dating him (as the others did not have any luck and it was their day off), and each one of them comes up with entertaining issues (Tio with clothes shopping, Zombina with her parts falling off, and Masuno being herself). Can they find out who it is, before Kirito loses his head over something.this one was way to funny, but will give a warning the ecchii is amped up a lot so it may not be good for younger readers. But seeing all the girls being treated like normal girls, despite killer trees, giant slimes girls, and a dolphin hugger shows that he sees them not as monsters, but girls with their own personalities. I have been enjoying this series and can not wait to the next one to get a"head" of the situation.

My favorite volume thus far! The death threats against Kimihito cumulate in a series of dates, in an attempt to provoke the mysterious 'D' to make their move. Multiple monster girls with the letter D as the first letter of their monster type come forth, but none seem to be the illusive 'D' who made the threats. The final date plan has Kimihito rotate through with Mrs. Smith's monster girl squad, and even with the little time they spend together his accepting nature of monster girls has each of them falling for him. Add another three girls to the harem everyone! In the end the suspected 'D' is finally caught, but we're left at a cliffhanger with Kimihito's life in danger.

Great product for the price, would gladly do business with in the future!

These are always fun to read

Well just read it and its good that the main character going with dates with them very nice scene its good especially yup its a harem alright setting off flags everywhere just saying but its good.

Man, love this manga. Funny, enjoyable; add it with moe monster girls and you get one of the best manga out there. This is not for those who don't like ecchi stuff. Waiting for next vol. to come out so I can get my hand on it!

I love monster musume series, this is a must have.

Richard Burton's account of his trek from the Red Sea coast to Harar and back in 1854-55 is a genuinely enjoyable read that demonstrates Burton's powers of observation, vividly descriptive language and genuine interest in the customs, beliefs and day-to-day activities of peoples very different to himself. To a greater extent than most literature of the great era of exploration, Burton offers a real insight into the beliefs and way of life of the people he meets, and I am afraid I must disagree with the reviewer who suggests that Burton has an excessively Eurocentric and class-conscious perspective. Burton can certainly write from a lofty and detached perspective, but his observations appear to owe a bit more to a well-developed eye for the absurd combined with an ability to see things as they really are. I expect the only thing preventing him from making similar observations on European society would be the likelihood that he would find it too uninteresting to comment on.As far as formatting and readability goes, insert my usual complaint about the lack of maps (especially as the place names Burton uses have largely changed over time and are hard to find on modern maps), and the otherwise interesting and informative footnotes break up the main body of the text a bit too much for my liking. Given the price, however, I feel quite churlish even mentioning these minor irritants, and I look forward to reading a lot more of Burton's work.

Lost in time, many people know of Sir. Richard Burton and quite a number have read one or more of the fine biographies now available. (I was first completely hooked on the life of this man when years ago I read Fawn M. Brodie's, The Devil Drives: A Life of Sir Richard Burton. I have read several biographies since that time, but Ms. Brodie was the one who started it for me). Anyway, while many know of Burton, I am sorry to say that not many of us (myself included) have not read many of the works of one of the most fascinating individuals ever to live.In this work, First Footsteps in East Africa, we quickly find that among Burton's other many accomplishments that he was a very, very good writer and in particular, a great travel writer. I have to be honest with you and say that I enjoyed every word of this one. I was leery of the fact that this was a free Kindle edition and that it was not illustrated. I should not have feared. The lack of illustrations was of little consequence and the Kindle format was quite well done in this care...I encountered no problems as we often do with these old books.Burton's writing can be lyrical at times but there is always the edge of the professional observer, linguist, and scientist lurking in the background. The reader needs to be aware, as another reviewer here as already said, that Burton's writings are indeed extremely Eurocentric and by today's standard simply not politically correct. No, no, no! Burton can be down right racially bigoted at times and has a rather sharp pen in writing his assessment of his Arab and African companions and the people he meets and observes. This is acceptable though as long as one remembers that Burton was merely reflecting the times he lived in and his social, racial and cultural background.Burton was a Victorian writer so it is not surprising that his writing is Victorian in style and syntax. If you are not use to this it can be a bit trying at times but it is well worth wading through the convoluted sentence structure and archaic (by our present standards) vocabulary. Which by the way, I found to be much easier to read on the Kindle than a regular printed book; the wonderful dictionaries provided by Kindle saved me much shuffling to my dictionary and back.At times some of the references Burton makes in his work can be quite obscure; they were not at the time he wrote this work, but they most certainly are now. Fortunately, at the end of each chapter there are a number of very informative footnotes where the author has explained much. Between the footnotes and google, I got along fine and learned much.This work is most certainly a treat. If you are a Burton fan I would highly recommend it. If you are a fan of Victorian travel literature (and who isn't?) you will be delighted.Don BlankenshipThe Ozarks

A great read

Though I was aware of Burton before reading this text, I had no idea how much I would enjoy his writing. His language is eloquent, with an almost stereotypically dry British wit, especially as he describes his companions. At times, Burton seems to lose himself in the aesthetic response to Africa's environment, allowing his writing to swell to almost purple prose in his descriptions.I also enjoyed reading this text through the lens of Edward Said's notions of Orientalism. Burton certainly falls prey to the Eurocentrism typical of his era, and at times his descriptions of the rationale of his Arab / Somali companions is borderline offensive. However, what I found most interesting in this text is Burton's own critique of Europeans. In First Footsteps, one could argue that Said's Orientalism isn't driven by culture but class. Burton is just as disgusted by the English working class as he is by Somali nomads.The Kindle version contains no illustrations; I would highly recommend referring to a map while reading First Footsteps. Also, the footnotes are not linked, but I didn't find that particularly bothersome.

Amazing how difficult travel in this area was only 170 years ago. More maps (and pics) would have been very useful.

If you read this tome from the mid-1800's and are expecting it to be about hunting game in the Dark Continent pick another title. The content of this book is to give you a view into the Mid-East and travels to Eastern Africa during the English Colonization. It would seem not much has changed in that region in some places over the last two centuries or so. Likely much longer. Reading this in e-book format is not recommended as you lack illustrations and footnotes are difficult to utilize as they appear at the end of each chapter therefore difficult to reference.

The book has no chapters. It is one long essay. I don't know where the seller got this sort of edition.

I’ve been researching and watching free videos on ball pythons for a few months. Stumbled across this and thought I should get it. Very easy read and covered it front to back in an hour or so. Unfortunately, I didn’t learn anything new and the information seemed outdated especially in regards to morphs. If this is your first stop then great you’ll learn something, but if you’ve been watching YouTube videos or reading online then it’s unlikely this will cover anything new.

This was a pretty good book for a beginner. If you want a quick read with the basic facts, this is a good book for you. There were times however the author touched on a subject that needed a more in depth explanation that I wished I would have gotten. Sometimes also, something was mentioned, that a picture of it would have been beneficial. But all around this is a great book for a first time owner that needs a fairly quick read of all the basics.

I bought this book for my 12 year old son. The book contains inappropriate content for children. My son brought the book to show me the "bad things" in the book. There was mention of something regarding making out, girls' breast and some other things that have nothing to to do baseball. I took the book and he will no longer read it.

I bought this for my students interested in sports. So far, the one boy who has read it really enjoyed it. He's a baseball nut.

This book is great for baseball players and sports people. This book has a lot of great life lessons and will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole way.

I have read EVERY one of his books and they are FANTASTIC. I started when I was in high school and now with my 2 kids I get to put them to bed reading to them. Is it a sports book: yes but not the kind that you need to know about sports. He does an amazing job at bringing the story to life! The only problem is he doesn't write his books fast enough!

This book is poorly written and poorly formatted. Many of the pages do not display.

I disagree with the negative comments here. For the price this is an excellent summary for beginners who want to get going. I personally would not use the suggestions about creating your own light fixture or substrate. It tells you the basic light intensity to get. The beginning plants are lovely and available. The instructions for co2 and nutrients can be followed by non technical types and without shopping all over town. With 30 minutes of reading i am ready to get started. Fyi, grammatical issues are due to second language and do not prevent comprehension

Just over the moon ridiculously the best.How can Cameron Stanton become any more sexy, delectable, and delicious? I thought I’d had it bad before, but no...I had no idea the depths that my heart or my crush for this man could go.This epilogue was comical, heartwarming, sexy, naughty, and so absolutely freaking amazing.All I wanted to do was wrap my entire existence around these two the entire time I was reading. I was smiling so hard by the end my face was hurting. Tears of joy fell from my face, I laughed out loud, my heart felt the pings of joy, and that constant voice in my head going, “This man is hotter than sin” was resonating the entire read.Don’t hesitate for a not even a nano second. Ashley and Cams epilogue is a take your breath away must.Thank you T L Swan. You have no idea how much HAPPINESS you’ve brought by writing this HEA.

I loved this follow up to Dr Stanton. Just the icing to my cake after book one. This is not just a simple Epilogue that you get at the end of a book that takes place years later. You get a full description leading up to events that happened at the end of Dr Stanton. TL Swan has out done herself with this follow up. I really really loved it. Dr Stanton was good, but this just perfected the storyline. I’m sure if you have been lucky enough to have read her books, you know how talented she is and won’t pass this read up. BUT if you are new to her writing, and want to check her books out, I highly suggest reading these two books together, along with the first four books in the series, as this is a spin off duo. I think we all needed this Epilogue due to all the ups and downs we had to go through in Dr Stanton, such a great way to end their story. Ahhhh what else can I say. I FREAKING LOVED IT!I have no complaints on this book. It was sweet and loving the whole way through. I liked that we got to hear a little bit more about their careers. I liked that it was family focused but even more so between Cameron and Ash. You get all the good feels in this book that redeemed a lot for me from book 1. Book one was great but some stuff happens that gets you so mad, you just need the characters to fix it and they do in this 200 plus pages of Epilogue. I can’t say enough good things without spoilers. Thank you T for writing it the way you did, just perfect for me!

What a sweet and sexy man Cameron Stanton is. I loved this book that follows up to the previous book Dr. Stanton. Have you met this man yet? Well let me tell you that if you haven't, you need to personally meet him and get to know his sexiness. He is one HOT ALPHA male that loves hard and feels deeply. TL Swan.... you rock!!!

I really want to give 5 stars. But I can’t get over that Dr Stanton a heart surgeon is doing manual labor! His hands are his tools. Ashley is younger but a surgeon especially a heart surgeon should protect their hands. But this is a romance not real life. So 4 stars because I love their chemistry and Cam is off the charts. I give him a 10+ in every category!!!

This book starts out where Dr. Stanton ended which was nice.It continues to about 40% of that storyline. Then it goes into wedding planning and such. Then it jumps like 10 years into their future.I really appreciated the time jumps with their journey as a couple. A great way to round out their HEA.I didn't want to spoil anything so so spoilers

Wow, did I just breathe during the past few hours? I think not. HOT doesn't even begin to describe it! Cam Stanton's curls can definitely get this girl any time he wants.It was the perfect epilogue for two of my favourite people.TL Swan paints her characters so vividly, it feels as though you're reading about friends. I never finish a book in one sitting, unless it's one of hers. That should tell you everything you need to know.I'm left with bated breath, and wanting more...

4.50 starsI loved the Dr Stanton book and I love Cam and Blos they are so great together. If you haven't read Dr Stanton then go read it! I was so excited for this book because I wanted the more at the end of the other book. I loved how they got married and Owie is so cute. I loved the stuff about all the other kids they had and their lives together.

Well what can I say, I love this book. I fell in love with Cameron in his brothers series and just fell deeper when Dr. Stanton got his own. You need to read the first Dr Stanton then read this one so you will know what’s going on but I believe this is the best wrap up of a series that I have ever read. It’s amazing!! My hats off to you T L Swan, you did our boy proud!!!!!!
